About Evan Anderson
I like creating things that work
I started designing about 10 years ago after working in the video games industry for about 5 years as an art director and animator. HTML5 games were unlocking new ways to build complete experiences in the browser, and my studio was at the forefront. When we started finding a way to package our games together for our clients, the problem solving of design sparked a new passion for me.
I’ve always been a tinkerer, and needed to understand what makes things tick, how to create something from my imagination that works.
Design is never perfect, but it needs to be great!
Developing custom software and experiences requires careful planning and insight. I collaborate with product leaders to identify opportunities for improvement and user satisfaction by understanding the current state of the business and its users. By focusing on long-term goals while making impactful changes incrementally, we achieve success.
I believe in proactively solving problems to unlock future potential, working closely with teams to find the right balance between immediate results and long-term strategies. I lead end-to-end design processes, from ideation to testing, for new projects and also enhance existing applications through audits and usability analysis.
Encouraging team ownership and growth is central to my leadership approach, as I view my role as a supportive guide that provides direction and promotes creative problem-solving.
I live in San Francisco with my girlfriend and crazy kitten Nico.
Lately i’ve been training for a half marathon, and cleared out space so i finally have proper space at home for my artwork and random projects…lucky to have in SF trust me I know.
Tinkering and making things that work like I always have!
